summary: kururugi yuni is at the top of her class, getting 100% in every subject, except for english.. which she has never done quite well in, and is now doing even worse in ever since that awful flirt of a teacher, sakurai haruka, has taken over as their substitute. he’s a rule-breaker and she doesn’t get along well with him, and she wonders how such a person could happen to be the most beautiful person on the planet (or so her opinion goes). rather miffed that his class is the only one she can’t seem to do well in, sakurai starts giving her extra lessons – which doesn’t always go well when he persists on teasing her, earning him a change from her usually cool and calm expression… into a violent one. XD when he shows her kindness at the cost of his own health, she is touched… and finds that maybe she does care… and he is touched by this, in turn. the two of them make a promise then, that they maintain their status as student and teacher, until the day when he isn’t any longer. of course, it isn’t that easy… it looks like there’s an extension to his duties…
commentary: the summary may seem trite, but this story has quite an interesting set of characters. yuni herself is the kind to be expressionless on the outside, but she has a lot of personality quirks and can get violent when the situation calls upon it. potential hurdles to their relationship include narcissists and unexpected perverts. …and you have to meet her family in vol2!
