synopsis: right before their 16th birthday, mikage aya, a regular kogal, and her twin brother, aki, decide to have their fortunes told.. just for fun. unfortunately, their fortunes aren’t quite fun… telling them that a great darkness will befall them on their birthday.. and it does.. when their parents ask them to visit their grandfather’s house immediately following school, they find their whole family gathered in some form of a conference room, looking grave… but it’s not just any family reunion. it seems as if their fate was hanging on a balance. when a mummified hand is shown to the pair, aya starts seeing visions of blood and emitting some sort of power.. but for aki, it’s different.. his body suddenly manifests cuts that have never been there before.. but though the mikage family are trying to protect aki, they have different plans for aya. she has to die.. for she is a reincarnation of their ancestor.. ceres, the tennyo (heavenly maiden), who is looking for her hagoromo, so that she may return to the sky… the one who may bring down the mikage family…
