timeline

i'm just putting in the milestones in the story.. with some known reference dates... if you have any corrections or inputs, then please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail.

cast takes entrance exams

known date: april (classes start in april in japan)

cast enters kanagawa prefectural high school as first year high school students (equivalent to sophomore year in the u.s.)

cultural festival

first test, etc... (don't know why ONE month is one semester, though... ^^; that was the title of the act... "at the end of the first semester" was followed by "at the beginning of summer break")

tentative reference date: may/june (supposedly summer break comes a month after classes start)

summer break

tentative reference date: june/july

yukino's exam score falls...

tentative reference date: august (typhoons generally come around august)

cultural festival preparations...

tentative reference date: september?

cultural festival (act 37-42)

known reference date: december

preparation for school field trip
according to chaschas, "the school field trip in japan is a pretty big event. it only happens once a year, and it's around fall." as act 45 opens, though, "it was the beginning of december..." (act 45)

probably a week after that, the class goes to kyouto for about four days...
day 1: they arrive and look around for a bit... souichirou socks the guy that shoves yukino aside..
day 2: yukino ends up forcibly waking up a couple of the girls... they look around kyouto some more, but lose each other eventually... kazuma joins the group... yukino and souichirou call each other by their first names for the first time, but are interrupted... yukino catches a cold...
day 3: yukino gets sick and souichirou freaks out, taking her back to the hotel... while the others go on ahead with the itinerary... yukino doesn't recognize souichirou's dark side...
day 4: yukino feels better and they go back to their plans...
some time after (indeterminate): they go home (acts 45, 46, 47)

on the train ride back from kyouto, yukino reflects: "right after that is the end of the year. the beginning of the year. then spring comes. we'll be second year students. this first year there were so many things going on...." (act 47)

time gap in story: one month winter break, the rest of the school year..
