karekano manga

before karekano was ever made into an anime, it was a manga by tsuda masami, serializing in the monthly hakusensha magazine "lala" and collected into tankubons under the "hana to yume" label. the manga has been translated into many languages including chinese (there are 2 versions in chinese, one being specifically taiwanese), korean, italian, spanish.... and also, english. the north american license for karekano belongs to tokyopop. so far, the story still continues, even though the anime has cut short.
