[Image of the clock on the wall] Sakura: Ah! I should be going soon. [Yukino kneels down (or is it that she's still sitting down, and Sakura's just standing up?), apologizing to Sakura. Souichirou stands behind them.] Yukino: We're really sorry. We have to work, so we can't come to your school entrance ceremony. And you've worked hard to become the representative for the entering students, too. [Close-up on Hideaki, a soft expression on his face] Hideaki: Hey. If that's the case, should I go in your place? -39- [Sakura looks at Hideaki, quietly. Yukino is pleasantly surprised. Suou&Ai [Off]: We're leaving! [note: "Ittekimasu" is one of those phrases said by parties departing their home to the remaining people] [The three of them walk together. Suou asks a question, and Ai becomes shocked] Suou: Ne, ne, Sakura-chan. Did you tell him? Sakura: I told him. Ai: OHHHHHHH------ [A shot from behind Sakura, as she hugs Hideaki, who is sitting still in front of his easel.] /narration/ I confessed to him yesterday. Sakura: I love you. [Close-up shot of Sakura, as she whispers in his ear] Sakura: I love you, Hideaki-san. [Close-up shot of Hideaki becoming wide-eyed.] -42- [The universe swirls around them as Hideaki looks comically shocked out of his mind. Sakura sweatdrops, and looks very much like Tsubasa at the moment. XD] [Image of the children's feet, as they continue to walk] /narration/ He seemed to look somewhat pitiful then, so I decided not to pursue the issue further, but Sakura: but Hideaki-san has always been like a father to me, so I'm rather worried that he might just see me as a little girl... -43- [The twins blush, hearts floating about them, as they cheer her on.] Suou&Ai: It's alright! Sakura-chan is pretty! Anybody would be happy to hear you say that you loved them. /Suou&Ai: Heheh. Sakura [thought]: I have such interesting little brothers. [View pans out to the tops of the trees, as the conversation continues] Twins [Off]: But we're kinda worried. Letting you go to school all by yourself, Sakura-chan. /Twins [Off]/ Because you're so pretty. The school entrance ceremony 18 years ago *heart* I was incredibly jealous of Souichirou-san for being the class representative. Souichirou: Haha. That's so nostalgic. Yukino: I never thought at that time that I would graduate, already pregnant by him. Yukino: .........But giving birth to a child who is just that smart------------... /Yukino/ I don't think it even took that much work... Yukino: I had intended to devote myself to raising her until she could enter elementary school... /Sakura [memory]/ Mom -45- [3-year old Sakura stands up to represent her hyperactive siblings, Yukino looking almost sick with surprise, as she says...] /pointer to Sakura/ 3 years old Sakura: I've already talked it over with Suou-chan and Ai-chan. He doesn't want to, either. -48- [Yukino blushes as she comes up with a thought. A heart floats by.] Yukino: It really does start at 30 for guys, after all, ne. When Souichirou-san turned 30, my heart would start pounding just when he looks at me; it makes me want to be with him; and I'll be so enchanted, thinking "he is such an attractive man"---- *heart* Yukino: This is what it's like to fall in love! [Image of Hideaki looking back at her with "a look". The "sleeping" Souichirou is greatly surprised] Hideaki: Now, hold on. Then, what about when he was in his teens and twenties...? I made so many mistakes. But though I had made so many mistakes I knew that I was loved. I may have had more misfortunes than others, but although that part itself was deep, I learned the joy of loving and being loved. -56- Even now, it is sometimes revived through a daydream----- [At present time, Souichirou is reflecting] [He imagines that upwards spiraling stairway] If I had not said "OK" then, I would probably still be lying to myself even now, and roaming within the darkness of my heart, and before long, I would lose even Miyazawa's love. As a very good-looking painter specializing in painting beautiful women, he is already quite popular and has been called the Yumeji of the Heisei period. He has a great number of patrons, male fans who are charmed by the beautiful women in his paintings, as well as female fans who he has drawn. He lives simply, but in truth he is an artist who ranks on the list of the richest people every year. Maho: I remember how he's been saying for the longest time, "Women are so beautiful, so beautiful!" [Image of Hideaki speaking with a girl] /Girl/ How cute- *heart* /Girl/ Pure beauty?
