on this page, you will find some scans and information on the karekano dvd releases. the page is not complete yet, but i will complete as time is available.
during its first media release, karekano was placed into the wide media market by king records in vhs, ld, and dvd formats. the dvds were originally released into jewel cases. i'm not exactly sure if the box only came with the limited edition of volume 6 itself, or if it was also re-released as a box set later. (i believe it's only the former)

in 2005, the dvds were re-released into a keep case by king records, as a part of the gainax 20th anniversary celebrations. to the chagrin of empty-pocketed die-hard fans, all of the dvds were re-released on the same day. all i could ask for now, is a box to hold all seven dvds.

a big fan favorite at the time, karekano was acquired by the right stuf international (trsi) on the insistence of jeff thompson. he believed that the series would be quite a hit, even outside of its already well-sized fanbase, despite the fact that it was quite a different taste from all the other gainax anime. the series was originally slated to release in 2001, but due to short staffing for the project, the series suffered several delays, until they finally released [in keep cases] under the title "his and her circumstances" in mid-2002. the first volume was originally released with a box for its collector's edition, however, the same box was used again when a dvd box set was released a short while after the last dvd.

on july 2006, the right stuf international (trsi) announced that it would re-release his and her circumstances into a dvd thinpak collection, with a 2006/09/26 street date. at this point in time, it appears that the release date has been pushed to 2006/11/28. information will follow, post-release.
