items

granted, there isn't a lot of merchandise around for karekano (mean mean gainax!)... i don't think i've actually seen any popular anime series get as little merchandise as this one did. :P and the manga barely has any, either... but here's what kind of goods you might be able (or have been able) to find, as well as links to places where you can get some stuff...

[ WHAT | WHERE ]

GEE, WHAT KIND OF KAREKANO STUFF ARE THERE?

books
information on karekano-related books that have been released. (updated.. and still continuing to update)

comic box
box to hold all volumes of the manga. i thought it deserved its own page.

doujinshi
what are doujinshi? doujinshi are basically fan comics that actually go into legal publication and are sold during doujinshi conventions in japan. i'm listing, so far, normal and hentai doujinshi that i have.

collectible cards
scans of the regular edition of the non-pp collectible cards, released by gainax.

telephone cards
shouldn't have to ask what telephone cards are. :) they're those cards that contain credit for prepaid calling. really handy they are. and some of them are pretty collectible.

cds
information and track listings on soundtracks, singles, drama cds, and other karekano-related cds.

dvds
information on karekano dvd releases.

stationery
this section will hold all stationery-related items.. even if it happens to be a pen, or a stamp-set or an album. <_< >_>

accessories
the bigger desk items like.. alarm clocks and lunch boxes. XD

ever been to gainax.net? they have pics to some of the merchandise for karekano... especially if you click on GUZZU.

AND WHERE CAN I GET MY HANDS ON SOME OF THEM?

asylum anime
based in kansas, asylum anime carries a few volumes of the manga (click on manga), two of the karekano dolls: arima in school uniform and miyazawa in her sweats (click on dolls), an arima and miyazawa resin statue (click on figures), the 3 karekano osts (click on cd), and karekano pp cards (click on cards).

kinokuniya bookstore
i don't think they actually have an online catalog, but you can call them to order for karekano manga, if there isn't a kinokuniya in your neighborhood. there's a kinokuniya almost everywhere (several countries, and several states in the us).

sasuga bookstore
based in new jersey, you can purchase a copy or subscription of lala (the monthly magazine that karekano runs in) or purchase the actual manga.. to get lala, you can hit search and put in "la la" for title (english) and select "magazine" as the medium.. you don't have to put anything else in, just click on the search button.. to find the manga, all you actually have to put in is "tsuda" for author and "kare" for title (romaji), then search... ^^ i'd actually provide direct links, but no can do on their search... by the way, if you have the isbn number, that should work, too. ^^

s-book.com
who else to bring the manga to us, but the publisher themselves.. s-book.com is the hakusensha bookstore... little problem is that they're based in japan, and the page is japanese only. i'm not sure if they sell overseas, but they're the only place i know of right now that has the karekano card gallery (of course ^^; )... this is the direct link to the search for all karekano "books", since some people have said that it's a little harder to navigate now.. ^^;

usanime
i love usanime.. they're just great.. and they have a lot of stuff, too... but unfortunately they only have a couple of shitajiki and lami cards for karekano.. they used to have a backpack and some pins, too, but jed-kun might have gotten his hands on those... ^_- you can search for them by item or by series, just watch out cuz they're labeled "kareshi and kanojyo (karekano)" ^^
