Resemblance: Shibahime Tsubasa

Why Tsubasa, you ask? Nobody could be like Tsubasa. It's just not humanly possible...

When I first watched the series, I thought I was more like Miyazawa... competitive, loves praise, hides behind a mask, multiple personalities according to the situation... not enough, maybe, but really, these personality traits were major enough to bind me to her...

Until somebody commented I was more like Tsubasa... ^^; (you know who you are)... I really didn't think I was, but after a more careful assessment.... (yes, I said careful assessment... shows you how little I had to do then... or at least how little I had to do that I actually wanted to do..)

1. Hair

Granted, hair isn't the biggest thing, since that can be fixed easily... and without surgery, too! At the time I watched the series (and even now, actually), my hair was about as long as hers and a little wavy, too... (And now, you're thinking, "ooooooh...")

2. Height VS Age

We know how cute little Tsubasa-chan can still be mistaken for her age, because of her looks and her height.. She's way shorter than most of her friends, and when she first meets Kazuma-kun, he mistakes her for being an elementary school student when she's really a little older than him... ^^; Let's just say thank goodness there's something left to be called an "aftermath."

Interestingly enough, same such mistakes have been made for me. The majority of my friends are easily at least a head taller than me (and they like to joke about it a lot.. Unlike Tsubasa, though, I don't mind... much... just don't push me when I'm in a bad mood)... I also like to play the "guess my age" game. More and more are getting it correct nowadays, but some of the answers I get are still pretty amusing. When I was 17, there was a lady who thought I attended a nearby elementary school (yet in the same week, somebody thought I was at least in my mid-20s.... ^^; )... I think my range has shifted upwards since then. :P

3. Affinity for cuteness

Remember that time when the girls told her a giant Totoro passed by and she went running? Though I may not believe that a real Totoro will walk by me tomorrow, I'm known for making a beeline towards the biggest, softest, cutest stuffed animal in the toy store and walk around with it through my entire stay.

4. Sweet Tooth

In a lot of shots, you'll just see Tsubasa-chan constantly eating... sweets, most of the time... and yet she continues to be small...

Well, let's just say I had a slight reputation for being the Queen of Chocolate in my dorm cluster... with my ever-filled candy stash... As well as being known for eating constantly... And let's just say that my 25lb backpack I have to carry around fall quarter 2000 is just about a quarter of my weight...

5. Temper

Don't push us... We can be stubborn and we've got nasty tempers... but we can also be sweet and docile when provoked... =)

6. Family

Okay, there's not really much to say. She's rich with a gorgeous single father... well, not for long... and barely any relatives... I'm more middle class with a sister and a gorgeous single mother (and you best not ask me to hook you up).

Like Tsubasa when she makes her debut into the series, my sister and I would rather keep her to ourselves, thank you... although we're now willing to consider a select few (only one at the moment qualifies in that select few... too bad he's not in the running).

7. Animals, the ones that aren't stuffed

Gee, what can I say... Tsubasa hisses at cats and steals food from deer... ^^; About the most I've done is trying to stare down animals who stare at me. (Hey, they started it!)... Then again, when I was younger, I watched a kung-fu movie where the leading guy learned cat moves... I tried to imitate him, of course.. ^^; That and a previous RPG personality I had to create was actually a cat... I was known as the "cute little blue kitty" (kawaii aoi neko-chan), Phoebe... (my full title, given by my friend, was Phoebe, kawaii aoi neko-chan, Angel of Cuteness, goddess of the moon... ever wondered why my page title is "Phoebe's Domain"?) But now, my friend (you know who you are! yes, it's still you!) says she wants to "train" me to hiss at cats... I feel like a Pokemon... ^^;

As to her other tricks and quirks, we probably differ (especially that snake tongue trick ^^; )... but then again, this is Resemblance, right? I didn't say that I am Tsubasa-chan....
