When she was younger, Sakura Tsubaki was a big bully. She was something of a tomboy and did as she wanted, being a school rebel. She used to bully Tonami, which earned her his enmity. But at the same time, she also liked cute girls.. She befriended Shibahime, who had been friendless in her neighborhood. They've been friends ever since then.
A very sporty girl, she is known in high school as the rising star of the volleyball team. When Shibahime reappears in high school and starts to attack Miyazawa out of jealousy, she stands by her at first.. But after Shibahime goes to extremes, they decide to approach Miyazawa, telling her that Shibahime's not all bad and she should come to them if she wanted to. Hopefully, Shibahime's "street fight" will end soon. But then, they find out that Miyazawa had been ex-communicated by her class. Annoyed by such group harrassment, Sakura announces that from then on, Miyazawa would be a part of their group, and her new name would be Yukinon!
Later when Tonami makes a reappearance in her life, she acts as if she and Tonami were just old acquaintances, much to his ire. And no matter how many times he tells her he hates her, she just sets it aside.. As it turns out, she likes him... even though he seems to hate her. He was fun to be around with... That's all that matters, right?
