Sawada Aya, friend and.. famous writer, aka Kano's favorite author. Behind her calm repose, Sawada Aya fosters The Evil That Lurks Within... J/K. She is Sena Rika's best friend, having known her since they were really young. Suspicious of friendships, however, Aya used to bully Rika, sure that she must have an underlying motive for being so close...
Make no mistake in the introductory paragraph. Aya has been a published author since she was in middle school, and she really has no other interests going forward. She seems to be a slave to her creative juices; her writing is her life. Once an idea forms in her head, she must write to fulfillment, as shown by the play (hagane no yuki) she whipped out for the school festival. One wonders if her cynicism stems from the ensuing fatigue. =p
Through their growing years, Aya has rarely been seen without Rika, her constant companion. Though, she thought that Rika may have had an ulterior motive, it seems that Rika really is just that much of a saint, so she has never been able to shake her off.
