asaba hideaki
Asaba Hideaki is Arima's peer in popularity. Also a member of the Kendo club, he befriends Arima in hopes of someday building Asaba- land, where all the girls shall "flock" around them like sheep. For this reason, he takes an initial dislike against Yukino, since her presence marks Arima as "taken." But after having realized that he couldn't come between them, he steps aside and becomes the couple's first real friend..
Though his fashion style can sometimes be questionnable, the girls still find him very attractive... to the ire of Miyazawa Hiroyuki, as both of his younger daughters seem quite taken with him.
Asaba-kun also spends a lot of time hanging around Arima, then making suggestive comments about it to Miyazawa. It's become some sort of running joke between them. ^^; He is also probably the only other guy that Arima completely trusts around Miyazawa.
Sadly, his home life is not quite as happy as people would guess it to be. He does not get along with his father, and seems to be estranged from the rest of his family. This lends to his desire to stay away from home as much as possible, and developing relationships with various older women.
