memorial drama cd

One would think that there really shouldn't have been a point of me putting up the act 102 drama translation, since there is already the manga translation, yah? I guess I just got over-excited this time and put up the "clean" version, so you don't have to go through the parts that were not included in the CD.. Manga still has way more stuff.. so make sure to read when you have your copy.. READ! READ! XD

Narrator: 16 years later, in April
Yukino: Oh... you're still awake, dear?
Hideaki: Yeah... I was thinking of greeting the kids good morning and then going to bed.
Yukino: I was remarried to Asaba. Souichirou-san, who had become a police detective, was killed by a gunshot--- This was just natural, in order for us to bury the sorrow that we shared--------...
Souichirou: I'M ALIVE
Yukino&Hideaki: Just kidding----.
Souichirou: What stupid things are you doing so early in the morning! Hideaki, hurry up and go home!
Yukino: He called us stupid~
Yukino: 16 years have passed since then but noone grew up at all.
Souichirou: Just please quit it with that married couple joke already! It's scary to think that would really happen if I were to really die somehow!! I'm not even going to die for a joke!
Narrator: Arima Souichirou. Doing well in a successful career with his uncommon intellect and athletic ability. Cheerfully doing his work as a detective in the police department's crime investigation unit. He has done numerous meritorious deeds.
Yukino&Hideaki: ...But, well..
Souichirou: What..?
Yukino: These last 16 years, the time I've been with Asaba as a couple has actually been much longer...
Hideaki: Mm-hmm....
Yukino: Owow, rub my back--?

Older woman: My, my, such a young married couple---

Nurse: Sir? Are you perhaps having sympathy pains with the child birth?

Narrator: Arima has also participated in raising the children as much as he can, but he has nothing on Asaba whose time playing father has been much longer.

Suou: What have you guys been playing at so early in the morning? AH! DA-------D
Narrator: Oldest son, Suou (14), Younger son, Ai (14). Fraternal twins who seem to have inherited the tense Miyazawa family DNA. They are in 3rd year of middle school [9th grade] this spring.
Suou&Ai: DAD DAD, WELCOME HO----ME!
Souichirou: Hey! How are you guys?
Sakura: Suou-kun, Ai-kun, you shouldn't do that. Dad is still tired.
Narrator: The oldest daughter, Sakura, 15 years old. Yukino and Souichirou's oldest child, who continues the Reiichirou->Reiji->Souichirou DNA. From today, she will be a first year student at Hokuei Prefectural High School.
Yukino: Sakura-chan, that uniform looks so good on you-----
Hideaki: The Hokuei High uniform, huh. That brings back memories...
Sakura: Welcome home, Dad. Are you off from work today?
Souichirou: No... It's your school entrance ceremony today, so I just snuck out for a bit. I wanted to see you first.
Sakura: Thanks, Dad...! I'm really happy!
Yukino: She's become such a feast for one's eyes~ Though the younger are two are making such funny faces...
Suou&Ai: Don't call us funny-looking!

Yukino: ----It's been such a long time since I've seen that high school uniform.. And we're going to get together with everybody today, too... And I'm somehow remembering various things... Like the graduation trip...
Hideaki&Souichirou: Oh...
Yukino: --------16 years ago, we made a promise among our high school friends that we would all go on a grad trip together. But we were the only three who went, after all------...
Souichirou: If you hadn't come, this could have been a newlywed trip!
Hideaki: THAT'S MEA---N
Yukino: Hey, let's get along now!! Have a care for your manners!
Yukino: Everyone was being difficult..................... All we are left with is the worst memory.
Sakura: Ah! I should be going soon.
Yukino: We're really sorry. We have to work, so we can't come to your school entrance ceremony. And you've worked hard to become the representative for the entering students, too.
Sakura: It's alright.
Hideaki: Hey. If that's the case, should I go in your place?
Yukino: Really------? You're a saviour---- Could you video-tape it, then? I want to see it! I really am sorry. You haven't even slept yet...
Sakura: /soft giggle/
Hideaki: /making nervous noises/
Sakura: I'm leaving!
Suou&Ai: We're leaving!
Suou: Ne, ne, Sakura-chan. Did you tell him?
Sakura: I told him.
Ai: OHHHHHHH------
Sakura: I confessed to him yesterday.
Sakura: I love you.
Sakura: I love you, Hideaki-san.
Sakura: He seemed to look somewhat pitiful then, so I decided not to pursue the issue further, but.. but Hideaki-san has always been like a father to me, so I'm rather worried that he might just see me as a little girl...
Suou&Ai: It's alright! Sakura-chan is pretty! Anybody would be happy to hear you say that you loved them. *giggle*
Sakura: I have such interesting little brothers.
Ai: But we're kinda worried. Letting you go to school all by yourself, Sakura-chan. Because you're so pretty.
Suou: You should be careful until we go to Hokuei, too, next year.
Sakura: I will. But I'm actually quite strong, so I'll be fine.
Suou&Ai: The truth is, Sakura-chan is stronger than us, isn't she......
Souichirou: My daughter's already in high school... It's all so fast-----
Yukino: Yeah, that's right. The school entrance ceremony 19 years ago. I was incredibly jealous of Souichirou-san for being the class representative.
Souichirou: Haha. That's so nostalgic.
Yukino: I never thought at that time that I would graduate, already pregnant by him... But giving birth to a child who is just that smart------------...
Yukino: I had intended to devote myself to raising her until she could enter elementary school...
Sakura: Mom... I've already talked it over with Suou-chan and Ai-chan. We were thinking that your intellect and talents are needed by society. We're going to be alright, so you should go on to college.
Suou&Ai: You should!
Yukino: I traded places with Asaba who had gone straight to studying and graduating from the College of Arts, and hurriedly became a doctor at med school. That saved me many years, but---------
Hideaki: But eventually I was the one who was looked after.
Yukino: A long time ago, I longed to be a "perfect honor student" like that, but... now that I'm the parent, it's so lonely!
Souichirou [thought]: I made my parents sad by being like that, too, a long time ago.....
Yukino: Souichirou-san. Is it alright than you haven't gone back to work yet?
Souichirou: I was thinking that they could reach me on my cell phone... So I think I'll sleep for a bit before then. I haven't had any spare time to be here in a while.
Yukino: ...Look , Asaba. This is the face of a man made haggard by work.......... It really does start at 30 for guys, after all, ne. When Souichirou-san turned 30, my heart would start pounding just when he looks at me; it makes me want to be with him; and I'll be so enchanted, thinking "he is such an attractive man"---- *heart* This is what it's like to fall in love!
Hideaki: Now, hold on. Then, what about when he was in his teens and twenties...?
[cell phone rings]
Souichirou: I understand. I'll be heading over there.
Yukino: Souichirou-san. You're probably busy today, but today is the "YinYang" live. It'll be the first time that we'll all be together since graduation, so come by if you can, ok?
Souichirou: I know.

Souichirou: I... I didn't sleep at all...... But.. I see...... Yukino's heart beats fast when she's with me................
Ryouko: Nee.. Just for today, won't you just go out with me? I actually have reservations at a French restaurant. For the last time... we'll make good memories.
Souichirou: Ok.
Souichirou: That autum day in my 3rd year of high school------ At that time, from the moment that I said "OK", my fate was turned completely around I was hurting, battered down, and in turn, I violated the body of the person I loved and got her pregnant, as a result. I made so many mistakes. But though I had made so many mistakes I knew that I was loved. I may have had more misfortunes than others, but although that part itself was deep, I learned the joy of loving and being loved. Even now, it is sometimes revived through a daydream----- If I had not said "OK" then, I would probably still be lying to myself even now, and roaming within the darkness of my heart, and before long, I would lose even Miyazawa's love. It has been 16 years since then. I haven't seen that woman even once.
Souichirou: Well, then.. time for work!
Yukino: Well, then. Should I get going, too----
Narrator: Arima Yukino, a plastic surgeon at the general hospital under Souichirou's father's administration. Not as much due to her skillful fingers as to the skillful way she finishes the surgical operation that puts her patients at ease.. due to that trait, she is a popular doctor.
Yukino: Ok, Asaba. I leave Sakura in your hands, ne.
Hideaki: Eh, ok.
Yukino: Usu! Maho-san, can you go tonight?
Maho: I'll definitely be there!!
Maho: It is, after all, the triumphant return of "YinYang" after their world tour. I've done everything thing I can to make sure I've made some time.
Narrator: Takashi Maho, a neurosurgeon in the same hospital. Due to her steady personality, she is exact during her surgical operations. Because of her good looks in addition to that, she is the idol admired by patients and nurses alike.
Yukino: You know, today.. is Sakura's entrance ceremony.
Maho: Today! Hokuei's entrance ceremony... Uwaa... How nostalgic. The uniform hasn't changed, right? Ah, so then.. You weren't able to go to the long-awaited entrance ceremony, ne.
Yukino: Asaba went for us.
Maho: Asaba-kun, huh...
Narrator: Asaba Hideaki (Asaba Shuumei). A Japanese artist. As a very good-looking painter specializing in painting beautiful women, he is already quite popular and has been called the Yumeji of the Heisei period. He has a great number of patrons, male fans who are charmed by the beautiful women in his paintings, as well as female fans who he has drawn. He lives simply, but in truth he is an artist who ranks on the list of the richest people every year.
Maho: I remember how he's been saying for the longest time, "Women are so beautiful, so beautiful!" He became greatly famous drawing his customers while he worked as a host, and by word of mouth he became famous during his college years. When you ask to look at them, what he draws is usually 5 times more beautiful than the real thing........
Hideaki: Eh---- I'm only drawing what I see.................
Maho: That's when I first understood that to Asaba-kun's eyes, all women are 5 times more beautiful than they actually are-----....
Yukino: The thing that doesn't satisfy me with that explanation is.. why am I the only one that he sees in life-sized--...
Hideaki: It's so nostalgic...
Announcer: Representative for the new students, Arima Sakura-san.
Sakura: Hai.
Crowd: Ohhhhhhhhh...
Announcer [memory]: Arima Souichirou-kun
Souichirou [memory]: Hai.
Crowd [memory]: Ohhhhhhhh...
Hideaki: What am I......... As Sakura-chan's guardian, that was probably the wrong way to come in contact with her.....
Sakura [memory]: I love you.
Hideaki: I'm sure that Sakura-chan is the special girl I'd been waiting for all this time.
[Sakura giggles]
Hideaki: The empty heart that no one has ever really loved was satisfied by something so warm. If you think about it, it just seems obvious, doesn't it? Because she was the child of my beloved Arima and Miyazawa From that day on, every day has been filled with satisfaction.
Sakura [memory]: I love you, Hideaki-san.

Yukino: Rika-chan, it's been so long~
Rika: I'm so glad you could come! Everyone else is here already.
Narrator: Sawada Rika. After she graduated, she was entrusted in carrying out important work involving autocouture and the like, as a seamstress attached to popular designer Shibahime Toshiharu, because of her skill in dressmaking. Today, she came to deliver the clothes that Toshiharu had designed for Martin.
Yukino: Ah! Kano----
Maho: Aya-chan!
Kano: Oneechan
Kano: Sensei is still working right now, so......
Aya: /short of breath/ 22 more pages....
Narrator: Sawada Aya. As a popular author, she continues to be in the midst of activity even now, exploring the many divergences in genres such as romance, horror, criminal investigation, etc, aimed towards young adults. She is currently about to drop dead in the midst of writing the last 71 pages of her long-running serialization.
Narrator: Miyazawa Kano. She has realized her dream in becoming the editor in charge of her most admired author, Sawai Ayaki. She has the editing abilities to retrieve a copy as she coaxes and encourages Aya.
Narrator: Miyazawa Tsukino... She was a tennis player all the way up to college and won many titles but has retired due to an accident. At present she is an advisor for the prefectural high school tennis club. At about this time, she is in the midst of realizing the abilities of the students.
Aya: I want to sleep...
Kano: Sensei, have some coffee!
Tsubaki: Hey, Long time no see!
Takefumi: It's been about 8 years right?
Narrator: Sakura Tsubaki. She attended a college in Egypt while wandering about to visit the world's ancient ruins, and before one knew it, she became a professor in an American college. She had just released her findings on an excavation she had done on instinct and intuition.
Narrator: Tonami Takefumi. He has learned to speak around 8 languages as he accompanied Tsubaki in her wandering. Because of his delicate character and earnestness when his interest in ancient history awoke, he has become a specialist in the analysis of ancient languages.
Yukino: Uu.... Deja vu-------! You left Japan just like this, too, at graduation 16 years ago. You've barely come home to Japan since then---
Tsubaki: WA-HAHA! Good memories, eh!
Yukino: How long are you guys gonna be here this time?
Tsubaki: We're going to be in South America tomorrow.
Yukino&Maho: Ah...
Kazuma: Yukino-san, Maho-san, long time no see. Thanks so much for coming today!
Narrator: Shibahime Kazuma. He continues to do well with "YinYang" all this time as well. His name is now known throughout the world. Not only is he extremely close with world-class jazz pianist Souichirou Reiji, but he also took up musical sponsorship from him, and was also able to sing the hard music pieces. At present, he has just finished his second world tour.
Narrator: Shibahime Tsubasa. She lives everyday with a smile as Kazuma's wife.

Yukino: Just a while ago... I got to see everyone after such a long time. Everyone looks so happy.
Souichirou: I see...

Souichirou: Yeah. And, after us, if Sakura, too, can be happy... When she was born, I thought to myself that as much as I can help it, she should be happy no matter what............
Yukino: But that girl doesn't really make any mistakes--- Though you don't really have to worry about that.. it should be the person who would love her and protect her and have Sakura be everything to him that should be doing that for her.
Souichirou: EH~~~~~~~~~ NO WAY!!
Yukino: ...And then there's the "chain of misfortune" that continues from generation to generation.

Souichirou: I'm thinking of trying to get a promotion. They keep telling me that I really should accept a promotion to the upper departments.

Souichirou: Ahaha... That sounds good.
Yukino [thought]: While they struggle, wanting to be happy... Love, Friendship, Hatred, Anger,Success and Despair, Exaltation, Uneasiness, Honesty, Falsehood, Being hurt from just one word, Being saved by just one word, Desire, Freedom, Depravity, Rebirth. They all swirl about. We fumble in this world, not knowing how much time may be given to ourselves, swimming through all of it.
Yukino: I still have more successes to accomplish~~~~~ Everyone has so many things to do in our varied worlds, as well. You have to give meaning to a troubled life. It would be a dream to be able to die, saying "Ah, that was fun, but now I'm tired--"
Souichirou: That's true. Life will truly be more interesting from here on.
